Hola, I studied at Lenguaviva in the summer for 2 weeks. Classes were friendly and fun and the emphasis was on conversation. There were more formal classes in the morning and, if you're a sucker for more work, conversation classes up to 3pm. I did this intensive course as I only had a short stay in Spain. The conversation flowed more as the two weeks went on. The professors are excellent and fun. I stayed with Lola, my host family, at her appartment in Macarena and she helped by speaking Spanish slowly and correcting my bad grammar. The school organised "cultural" visits around Sevilla: tapas tours, stroll up the Giralda, a trip to the Alhambra, and open air summer film. I intend to come back some day.

I studied at Lenguaviva for 10 weeks as part of my degree course. I found that I learnt more in those 10 weeks than I did during a year at the university because speaking Spanish continued outside of the classroom. I also found it a great help to live with Spanish people, which was arranged by Lenguaviva. The classes were small and all the pupils were encouraged to speak as much as possible. Sevilla is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to. There is always a lot going on in Sevilla but it is small enough to get to know well. It is an ideal place to stay because it is easy to visit other cities from Sevilla such as Cordova, Granada or the beach. I am glad a chose to study in Sevilla and I look forward to returning.
